Roots...
Yesterday I had a chance to attend a concert in Bishkek. The native American Apache tribe dancers' group called Yellow Bird perfomed on the stage of the Opera Theater.
It was very interesting event because the band leader had a story to each dance and each song.
I heard many times that the native Americans and the people of present Central Asia have common roots and ancestors, but I was not much surpized about it. However, when I heard it from the native American it was very interesting. The band leader shared his grandmother's story with the audience. According to his grandmother's story they lived in the lands of high mountains and they were the warriors before their chief lost his power and died. They migrated to the north and crossed the "Great water"(Bering Sea) to Alaska... and the most stubborn among the others were people from Apache tribe. The looked for a land with high mountains, similar to their previous lands. Eventually, after travelling far south they found one. It was the mountains of Arizona...
